Statement by Thomas Johnston [manuscript], n.d.

A manuscript statement concerning a bowl, believed to be the property of Mrs. Barrett Price of Henrico County, Va., used to make apple toddy for Banastre Tarleton. Tarleton is quoted as saying "lets make the Rebel drink a toast." Mrs. Price is alleged to have toasted "Success to General Washington and destruction to Cornwallis."
